OK, how much do you spend each year buying guns? Not ammo, not permits, not hunting or shooting expenses, just buying guns.

My average has been increasing, and this year will be about $2000.

This year started off on a binge of turkey guns and then veered deep into the AR zone, about $4k so far. That doesn't count AR mags, which are a whole different line-item on the family budget.

According to my wife way to much. I think I am somewhere around $4-5k

I sat here calculating it all and I can barely believe my eyes!
Roughly, not counting FFL transfer fees and shipping...
    OVER 6 THOUSAND dollars!

You got me thinking, so I decided to see how much I had spent on Dvd's. I have (at last count, added more since) over 100 Dvd movies that I began buying on August 14th, 2001 (the day I lost my previous collection in a fire). Since most Dvd movies run an average of 19.99, that's over 2000 just in Dvd's! HOLY CRAP I'M A SPEND-O-HOLIC!

I shudder to think how much money went on ammo!

The itsy, bitsy spider crawled up the water...

I think this is one of the areas where 'don't ask, don't tell' is applicable. I sure ain't gonna put it in print where the little woman might stumble across it.

I wont even think about figuring what I spend on guns/hunting related products.

No idea. Buy, sell, trade, some years are better than others.

The last year or so I've cut back due to some house renovations...this year will be around 3-4K. Most acquisitions have been of a collectible nature, have about everything I need for hunting and target shooting.

Some years ago when the kids were still home, guns, equipment, ammo, and hunting trips were running in the 5 figure ballpark...then college expenses came along and that came to a screetching halt....but we sure had some good times and memories.
