After a good 5 days of practice I think I am ready to take on this glock contest. I do all 60 rounds in 57 second average and score pretty high. The guys at the range says if I was shooting in the last competition I may have won. The bad part is I spent so much on bullets I could have bought a glock instead of winning one. It is all about the joy of winning now. The contest is at 8:30 in the morning Saturday. Wish me luck

If you will blame gun makers for every shooting then blame car maker for every car accident.

Ok Casey, I wish you luck. For me, I've found it's always better to be lucky than good.

    Snarlguard-

Wasn't that a Charles Bronson or Clint Eastwood phrase?? The 6 "P" principle? Proper planning prevents pi$$ poor performance?

Good luck Casey, try and get a good nights sleep tonight, early to bed (at home ) and all that. You have practiced enough to have a good chance of winning and now, when they have this contest again - you can win 2 glocks.

Good luck. Now you know why people are generally happier when they live by "it's not whether you win, it's how you play the game." You've already got a feeling of accomplishment.

I got ready to try out for the Sheriff's Department physical at the age of 42. I found out you needed to press 175 lbs. (which I knew I could exceed), do 35 sit-ups, 35 push-ups, pass the fat percent test (which I did), and run a mile and a half in under 15 minutes, which I couldn't. I changed my workout and a few weeks later I was able to run the mile and a half in addition to the other things. I passed the physical, got cut anyway for my age, but never felt better because the testers exclaimed they were so impressed that "this old guy" matched the young people's performance in the gym. I was just as proud of that effort, even though I was cut. Taught the young ones a thing or two, too. Then I got a job at Magnavox making a lot more money. We plan, and God laughs.

There was the one guy there last night shooting with me and not to come down on the guy but he sucked. This guy was shooting a .45 and was way off the mark big time. I told him that he should shoot something with a little less recoil and he basicly said screw you. I do not care about winning any more as long as I score better then him. I guess he has a problem taking advise from a young guy.

Just remember it is not whether you win or lose....Naw, forget that it is about winning. Knock 'em dead!
