Whatever you call it where you live, I made some good stuff the other day. All I had were 8 jalapenos, some onion, 4 romano tomatoes, 4 green chilies, salt, pepper and a pich of vinegar, and made the best sauce.
Texas style with nachos. Yes, us Irish guys like that stuff!
As far as refried beans- why weren't they fried right the 1st time? HA!

    daddo---I have to agree on the home made stuff. It just tastes better than any of the crap stores have to offer. Your mix sounds about like mine, but I use habaneros instead of jalapenos.

    To bad you guys don't live in the heart of the country where this stuff is from! Try Territorial House Salsa if it is available where you live. It is pretty authentic salsa (yellow or red lid only, forget the green). Salsa is cooked, and the fresh stuff is called pico de gallo.
