We all agree the gulf coast is in diar straights and needs help to rebuild and resettle the areas hardest hit by katrina. along comes trent lott and adds 700 million to rebuild and design roads that lead to casinos in the biloxi area. most of the roads were not there before or were cart paths at best. all to funnel tourists to casinos...
the bill is curently budgeted at 102 billion and Bush says he will veto anything over the amount he asked for. 92 billion so . pork spending may delay the money needed to help the folks who need it.
I say let the gamblers pay for there own roads...if they lost this bet all the better

Yea, why bother, in 50 years it will be underwater anyway. Aren't like the polar icecaps supposed to have melted away by that time? I can't remember what that pbs special said.

I would certainly favor forgeting Nawleans. It looked like a slum before Katrina. The ice caps are melting, and we are all going to die. The last part is not new or news though.
