They must have a short term memory loss problem. Anyone who can't vividly recall seeing those airliners flying into the sides of those towers needs to cut back on the prozac. I for one look forward to the news that Bin Laden is a smoldering pile of ashes. In this day and age some of the "protesters" are just morons getting paid by morons to put on a show. We have had Earth First protesters show up here at logging sites who were paid minimum wage by Earth First. Most were the typical tye died, dreadlocked, numb, generation Xers. I don't doubt that the same thing is happening with anti war protests.

They will never be as large, as organized, as powerful, or as well covered by the news as were their predecessors in the 60's. A pitiful bunch of pansies.

They're just a bunch of wannbes trying to get into the 60's thing. It's still popular to this day. In fact, I dated this fruit loop in high school called Angie. Sweet Jesus. She was a nice enough girl until you started talking about guns or money. Then she turned into a raving banshee about the evils of capitalism and evil, evil firearms. I'm glad THAT relationship didn't go far. I may have been converted!

Sadly, I must report that the "hired protestor" is a real phenomena(sp?). There is a company out of San Francisco (where else?) called "Rent-a-mob".
I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.--Voltare

In our wonderful country, even traitors have a right to protest. Of course patriots have a right to protest against traitors. Patriots=275,000,000. Traitors=69. Seems a good mumber in the land of fruits and nuts

I'd like to kill'em, but then I remember how much American blood has been spilled to allow them that right. I only wish they would stop and think about it. They would be executed in the Arab countries as traitors.

Does this mean it will be socially acceptable now to burn my bra and wear tie dye tank tops two sizes too small? I"d join the protest by advocating free love, but we have already found out that the net end results of this are anything but "free"!

I don't know about the whole protest thing, but I'd love to see more women without bras and tank tops that are two sizes too small

I heard a report on NPR this morning from a high school in Massachusetts. The first few kids they interviewed were in support of retaliation, and some talked of enlisting. However, the interviewer seemed to focus on those kids who were against "killing a bunch of innocent people, women and children." One particular kid made me want to grab him by the throat. He spoke of how he would not serve if drafted, and how "several" of his friends felt the same way. He also said he would not go and kill innocent people, that he and his like-minded friends would flee to Canada. He said it would become "another Vietnam". He probably couldn't find Vietnam on a map. It really disturbs me that these kids sound so influenced by the left (media, liberal Dems) that they think the military just goes around wasting civilians in a hail of gunfire. One young lady made me feel proud though when she said it is your duty as a citizen in a free country like ours to serve when called, and if you don't like it then leave. I know that's not exactly an answer to the question posed here, but it does sound as if some of these kids parents' were protesters in the 60's. BTW, I hate protesters. Yea, yea, it's their right, but they seem to forget who sacrificed everything so they could have those rights. Get out of my face with that sign, go get a freakin' job, and get out of the street. You are either with us or against us. It just pisses me off thinking about it.

As one who often assumes the role of Devil's advocate, I applaud protestors, for without opposing ideas our country would become as the Islamic fundamentalists, eveyone parroting doctrine and no room for individual expression, protest is healthy and can only take place in a demococracy, without fear of retaliation or suppression, as long as there are protestors, the ideals of the founding body of our nation are still in use, fear the day when there is no protest,
