In another thread I posted AntiqueDr mentioned using an escrow service to give a deal a measure of security for both the seller and buyer. Anybody used them before and what's your thoughts about them? How smooth was it to do? Green Lantern

I have used them on eBay. They are a pain in the * for the seller some times it takes over 30 days to get paid. Therefore most sellers don't like dealing with them. also the buyer should pay the escrow fee. But it does protect the buyer because the seller doesn't get paid until the buyer is satified with the purchase and ok's the payment to the seller

I will say that as a seller I have had problems with the escrow service promoted by this auction site. Worked out fine for the buyer, but it took a long time for me to get paid. Had to threaten lawsuit, etc. But, from the BUYER's perspective, it worked out well.
