been a busy month.refinanced our house 5.875%.had our basement walls that were bowing fixed.sold our pop-up camper and bought a new (used)one went camping over the weekend.tonight just finished breaking up our front porch 6x8 concrete only took four days that 8 pound sledge hammer felt like it was closer to 50 pounds by the time i was done.
tomorrow after the gun show i have to clean up my mess from the front porch and start building the new one.there was a bonus under the porch a hole lot of gravel so i can save money on the drive-way.
after that i get to replace the roof on the garage.

ohh by the way i'll buy the beer for all volunteers.

dang chris!! that's quite a bit of work you did there. How did you fix bowing walls in the basement?

for the walls in the basement we had ancors put in.it is a steel rod
threaded at both ends with big steel plates at both ends. the rods are 8 feet long and driven into the ground through the basement walls at an angle.there is a nut on the inside and you torque that every 3 weeks until the walls are staight again.

6X8? How thick? Doesn't matter. This is why there are Rental's everywhere. Go rent a machine or at least a proper hammer. Geez, I use a 4 pound sledge to put in tent pegs.
