Gary, Indiana-AP -- Another shock for the family of the first female Marine ever to die in a combat zone.Sergeant Jeannette Winters' family returned from her funeral to find that burglars had broken into their home in Gary, Indiana.The break-in happened Friday.Winters' brother says the door was kicked in. Her father says three guns were taken.Jeannette Winters was one of seven Marines killed January ninth when a refueling tanker plane crashed in Pakistan.

    Funeral announcements give public notice that no one will be home. Maybe that's why these notices in our local paper are after the fact.
