Stupid stunt

After more than 40 years of reloading I have pulled a real stupid stunt. I was changing calibers from .45 to 9mm and was changing the powder in the measure. Sure 'nuff I managed to pour some Titegroup into the Clay's bottle. There goes a half pound or so. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.

Don't feel too bad about that. I have an IMR can full of unidentified powder that I filled up thanks to my wife. I had around 500 7mm WTBY mag shells loaded with different powders and bullets and when we bought this house she went to packing EVERYTHING! Needless to say she also packed my reloading room while I was on the road and I think you can guess what happened. She took 1 box and dumped ALL of my shell in it! I had them all seperated and organized untill she did that. Well, now they are all mixed up and I have no idea what is what so I proceed to give my kinetic puller a workout and just dumped all of the powder in one can.

I may give it to someone I don't like!

Don't feel stupid, the important thing is that you realized what you did.

At least you found out before any damage was done.
One member suggested to keep only one can of the kind of powder youre using on the bench. I would add to always empty the measure when you leave because you may get back much later than you planned and forget what powder was in the measure.
I have a can of Dupont black powder I mistaken emptied a flask of the wrong granulation in. One of these days I'll find the right screen to separate it.
