i saw one of these at the gun show the other day. it parkerized (SP?)and looked pretty sweet. it supposed to be just like the ones that were issued in WWII. i have always like the military look. i just don't know if i can talk myself into buying another .45. i have a colt commander and i would trade it for this one the only thing is the commander is the first hand gun i ever bought and i kinda have setnimental side.

No. No. No. Don't trade your commander for that. Thats like trading a Corvette for a Volkswagen. Those 1911a1s have been suspect. They are cheaply made and reliability is not even close to your Colt. If you want parkerized so bad find a good used Colt somewhere and have it parkerized. I hope I got to you in time.

there is no way i would ever sell my colt. i love colts and would never get rid of this one especially since its the first handgun i ever bought. The price was really high too. i am not sure if it was the kahr or not i was i a hurry, but it was like 900 bucks or something ridiculouse. i saw them in shotgun news for around 450. i was going to try to find out why it was so high but again i was in a hurry. there is another show in a few weeks and i am going to try and find it and do little investigating.
