Having trouble sighting in Rem 700ML using Leupold quick detach bases and rings with a Leupold Vari-X II 2-7 power scope. The rifle is shooting 12 inches to the right and I have run out of adjustment on the scope. I am aware of shimming bases to correct for elevation but at a loss on how to correct for left/right adjustment. Any help appreciated. Mike

If you are turning it the right way take your scope to have it checked. If the scope is ok then you may need windage adjustable rings.

Not being there to look I'm not sure I can help. If your talking aboout the Leupold dove bases there should be two screws on each side of the rear base. Turn your scope adjustment back to about the midway of it's travel. Takea turn off the right side and tighten the left. Keep doing this until you are close to center. Then adjust the scope for the last little bit. If your scope bases are different..... forget all the above

Which quick detach? The QR, or QRW.Doesn't matter, neither one has adjustments. If scope is ok, and your adjusting it ok, then you have the following possibilities:Reciever off, Hole alignment off,Base wrong, or defective profile(underneath),Bases crooked. Measure slots at ends.Rings crooked/misaligned,Rings tightened unevenly. If none of the above, get windage adjustable "Redfield style" rings/bases.
    Happy Bullet Holes!
