Have a buddy looking at a FN 57 and I had no clue except the ammo seemed a little high.

Any thoughts or opinions please

Great gun. 30 round mags. I have only shot one a couple of times but they have always functioned properly when I have used them.

I wish the ammo would come down a bit in price.

Hand guns are good, reliable, I think a bit loud, but what necked pistol cartridge isn't?

I'd like to have a 5.7 Bolt gun. Would make for a fun varminter.

I bought two w/ consecutive s/n's many years ago. I've only shot one and love it. Ammo a little high is an understatement! The real expensive stuff is no longer available. All and all it's just what you can expect from FN - nice piece.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

Pretty sure it's reloadable if you can find bullets.
I shot one at the Los Alamos TTC for about an hour; free ammo, even some of Da Kine ammo that nobody can get, and lunch afterwards.
    What's not to like?
The sights take a little getting used to, but if you think of it as a bigger Grendel/PMR; all 30 in 4" at 35yds is possible.
Nice, light recoil. No muzzle rise. Ejection is Enthusiastic.
Got to shoot the carbine version with a suppressor, too.[:D]
RILLY like the carbine, hate the stock. It was designed by a retired war criminal who couldn't spell "ergonomic" and wasn't a shooter.
Other than paying .308 prices for less useful ammo; it's almost worth getting.
    I guess it's a negative positive review.

Love my FN 5.7 .. If you ever shoot one, you'll have the craving to buy one.

    I carry mine a lot.
