They are generous enough to let RVs park there overnite. Used one once down in NM where there were no campgrounds, they even patroled the RVS parking there all nite.

I parked the pickup and trailer and slept in the Walmart lot in Salida Co after an all day and 1/2 the night drive. Wasn't great but didn't cost anything either. Real common to see 10-12 RV's in that lot at first light.

I lit a campfire in a walmart lot once in front of the camper. They don't have rangers so it worked out well, But the hot dogs tasted like asphalt.

I took a travel trailer to Sturgis for the first time a couple of years ago and stayed along the way at Walmart parking lots. Heck of a nice offer from them to permit this.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

It's a good public relations policy. Plus, I'll bet a high percentage of those spending the night walk in and purchase something during the stay. [:D]

I park mine and live in their parking lot on the weekends. When I get lonely I step out and
shake a prescription bottle with a few Tylenol in it and watch the ladies come in like a yote to a rabbit in distress call. Chicks dig it.

Walmart managers have been known to say, there's no better outside security of the property than that of a lot full of RV'ers.,,[;)][;)]

As a rv'er we know most Walmarts don't mind if we part there. Its a good well lit place. Plus if any supplies are needed we can run in and restock.

Its nice to park in a walmart lot because also its usually a level place and running the generator we can have home sweet home, tv lights etc.

We usually ask permission from walmart manager before we settle in.
