What kind of problems? I have a set on my glock 22 and have had no problems. Suckers are the brightest nite sights I have ever seen. Come with a 10 year warranty and have sure improved this old mans shooting skills. Just my .02

I have meprolights on two glocks and 1 H&K. The meprolights were considerally brighter than the trijicons. The only problem with either the meprolights or trijicons is that they should be coated with a thin layer of oil to prevent rust.

I had a guy buy a new Glock with Meprolight night sights last spring (2001). The front one was out by September. I had another guy install Meprolights on his Beretta 92. He had to send them in twice in 2 years, they kept going out. I've gotten a number of police trade-in's that are less than 4 years old. Out of 4 guns, 3 have at least one dot out, front or rear. Admittedly, Meprolight seems to back them up, but I guess I'd rather not have to send them in to begin with.

Walt, thanks for the sympathy but it maybe premuture. We're working night and day to try to get Schundler elected. WE NEED HELP! If you know anyone who lives in the Republic of NJ, please ask them to consider voting for freedom from the anti-gunners. We've closed to within single digit numbers.

Had Meprolites on my wife's 1911; the adjustable rear sight windage screw broke; sent it back; the replacement sight also broke in less than one year; took it off and replace w/ Bomar. Will never buy another adjustable from them. The fixed sights are probably OK.

Kimber signed an agreement and they have gained exclusive U.S. distribution rights for all Meprolight night sights and accessories. When Kimber came out with the Eclipse they had a lot of problems with sights going dark and breaking, and was Verrrry annoying for the buyers ... supposedly the are up to a 4th generation and all problems seem to be resolved. What I dont understand is: Who needs sights anyway ... if the pistol fits, just point & shoot! Personally I dont like adjustable sights and the only thing nightsights are good for is finding your gun in the dark ... Dano, that glow-in the-dark paint works just as good and a lot cheaper! roflmao

Walt you did not say what kind of gun but check out Heinie strait eights. I have Meps on a glock and they are getting dim (5 yr.). The Heinies I have on two guns and they are great!!! Just got a set of Wilsons new style and will try them on a Kimber pro carry I just ordered.

kimber--Hah! You couldn't have said it better. When I was working 24-hour shifts it was 3am and all was quiet (rarely did anything happen after 3am)I would lock the doors, place my SIG 228 between the couch and the wall and nap. When the phone rang, I would jump up and be fumbling around for my Sig in the dark. Sometimes those nite-sights are good for something!
