Whats your favorite handgun?

Im sure this is a hard question for most of you since you might have more than 1 favorite...but if you had to pick one handgun to take with you to a deserted island (hypothetically you'll have unlimited ammo), what would it be and why? Im interested cause your respone might help me decide in buying my next handgun.

I haven't found my favorite yet...I bought a Baby Eagle and it jammed real bad and my new replacement has not come in yet....If it works, it will be my favorite...

I wouldn't mind being the last man on earth-just to see if all of those girls were telling me the truth....

Always had as soft spot in my head for the single action revolvers, not sure why, maybe to many afternoon cowboy matinee movies.

Glock 20. 10mm loaded right will do almost everything. Hi cap mags for the 20 just in case the sh@#?t hits the fan.

Not hard to answer. S&W 629 8 3/8" with night sights. This is the earlier style, sq. bt. and standard barrel. Wouldnt't have to think twice, in fact wouldn't have to think about it at all!!

hmmm...tough question. One I actually own, or one I would love to have?My favorite among the ones I own...my s&w 686 . The first gun I purchased for myself(not ones I inherited from my grandfather, or was given my my father). I have several guns...but the smith is what I come back to all the time.That I would love to have..well that new Kimber Eclipse II full size is beautiful. Everytime I stop in at my local gunstore, the owner asks if I am going to buy it....

My Dan Wesson 44 mag topped with the 4x leupold. I'd like to switch it to a 2x but haven't found a decent trade yet. The 44 tho is accurate, will stop anything and goes KABOOM everytime you pull the trigger.

No question about it, Ruger Single-Six with Mag cylinder. She's my baby, goes everywhere through the woods with me unless there are bears with cubs around, then I wear the Ruger Super Backhawk .44 Mag. *, you gotta have ONE chance!!

Gotta agree with Saxon on this one. Just hard to beat a N frame Smith. Lets see have a 24, 27, 29, three 625s, 57 and two 629s. I thought I knew which was my favorite but now I can't decide.

2 1/2" S&W 66. Does just about anything you could ask of it, tho a little lite for Mr. Bear. Maybe have to opt for 629 Mountain revolver in .44. Definitely revolver, tho. Them self-shuckers er just dern picky!

JAZZ, Do you think my .50AE is enough to be considered big and nasty. The desert eagle is my recommendation, although it's not a carry piece, it will do all you will ever need.

Desert eagle is very very heavy and looks like the mark 23 but is more powerful than the mark 23, I think. But Mine would be .45 tactical.[This message has been edited by Gene B. (edited 11-01-2001).]

Love my Beretta 92FS as it fits my big, clunky hands like a glove. But accuracy seems a bit better with Browning Hi-Power Mark III.
