There is a young guy on Ask the Experts forum wanting to carry a Lorcin .380 I have given my best argument against that but maybe if he see's enough people in agreement on it it will change his mind.I would hate for him to rely on this weapon in a time of need and it let him down.

I thought of the money issue and he could still get a FEG-PA63 for around $125.00 and that is at the most $40.00 more than the Lorcin and more powerful of a round.I have nevr seen a Lorcin work reliably just cause it is used in crime doesnt meen anything hell you could probably hold somebody up with the right BB gun too.Pointing it and saying give me all your money isnt the same as relying on it to save your hide and maybe even our family.

Lorcin is the cheap sat night special, High in crime cause its cheap and dont mean much to the guy who uses it if it has to be thrown away.

If I was prone to commit a crime, thats what I would use, not my Ruger Sp 101, or My 1911A1. Kinda makes sence dont it.

Maybe its his choice of a carry.... Maybe he likes it... ever think of that?... I would never try to convince anyone of carrying something else if I didnt like the gun of their choice... He**, they probably wouldnt like mine...
Its his decision..... and he was asking about shoulder holsters..not weapon choice if I remember correctly..

Has anyone ever seen the footage on cops. I remember seeing a off duty cop at a bank robbery. He pulls his small auto out, and says "police, drop your weapon" The bad guy turns around, and kills the cop. They show the cop trying to fire his auto, and it jammed. He died because of that. I will never trust any auto with my life.

Hey if you want to knock me for trying to help someone make a more reliable better decision have at it.I commented on my thought of holsters for that gun.I cant even begin to keep track of how many times I have seen somebody ask about a peticular item and gotten many posts suggesting something different or hell how many time have you been to a gun shop looking at one gun and they suggest something different I know it has happened to me on more than a few occasions. So why get on me when I do it when it could be someones life from a bad decision? If he likes the Lorcin more power to him I guess but Im sure he could find something else he would like even more if he only had suggestions.Im well aware its his decision because its his money and his tail but its still a bad decision on a bad gun.

I wasnt knocking you... was just stating my opinion... and he did say it was a good starter .. ... I imagine if he wanted ideas on what to carry, he would ask...and get about 50 different answers... *LOL

Actually he seemed rather happy with his choice...

BlackRoses: You are 100% right,it is his choice to carry it if he wants , and how dare I even think about suggesting that it may get him killed some day, its none of my business and i should learn to keep my nose out of other peoples affairs, I hope you keep in touch with him so you can send flowers to his family if that day ever comes ,

OK, kids! Guns are somewhat like girlfriends. Sometimes they just feel comfortable even though your friends don't think you have made the best choice. EW, let's hope your friend has the Lorcin for a short time and never needs it. Then, when the finances are right, he moves into something a little better. I still wish someone had talked me out of that first wife of mine!

I think you guys are being had. He said he was 20 and got his permit. Does he not have to be 21 for this? He also does not know the length of the barrel? Even the viliage idiot should know how to measure the length. He is a newby?? Just who would post something like this on a Friday night to get something going??

As for me, I will stick with my matching Ravens (with folding bayonets) in matching shoulder holsters. Tom
