Im having trouble deciding which gun I should start saving up for next. Im mostly looking for accuracy, which gun would best be suited for that job? Does the Beretta 96fs in .40 have any advantages over the Beretta in 9mm?

That said, have you considered a Browning High Power? It should be (unless you get a dog) more accurate than either the Glock or the Beretta.

With what you listed, I'd go for the Beretta.
However, you're not comparing apples to apples. You're asking us to compare a 9mm pistol (Glock 17) to a .40 S&W pistol (Beretta 96FS).
If you want to compare 9mm's (Glock 17/Beretta 92FS), then the Glock wins.
If you want to compare .40 S&W pistols (Glock 22/Beretta 96FS), then the Glock wins.
'Nuff said.
Stand And Be Counted
If you are concerned about accuracy, GET THE #3.5 CONNECTOR. It drastically improves trigger feel and your groups will be nice and tight.
Before I put mine in, I was shooting 5-6 inch groups at 15 yards. After I installed it, I was hitting 2 inch groups. It's a factory part and an GREAT improvement.
My gun is prettier than yours, and it's a Glock!
It is indeed a single action pistol and yes, I would consider it to be of military grade!
