About Accuracy?

I have noticed this in various gun magazines I have.In paticular the review on the Ruger P-97 which I own and I dont get this kind of shooting.I see these reviews testing accuracy and the group that its shooting isnt anywhere near the X-ring and they call it match grade accuracy. What am I missing here?I know when a shooter takes aim he is going for the X-ring and if your gun is printing the shots out of the X-ring like low and to the left is it accurate just because all the shots are low and to the left?I look at accuracy as hitting exactly what Im aiming at.I would tend to look at a gun thats not hitting what Im aiming for as innacurate.Somebody please explain this to me.

However, merely to test what a weapon is capable of,in the way of accuracy,a group anywhere it can be seen is sufficient. In fact, for testing purposes, shooting up the point of aim is counterproductive.
After determining wether the handgun or rifle will shoot,it is generally easy to adjust the bullet impact to where ever desired...and in most cases, point of aim and impact point arn't the same anyway.( to take advantage of trajectory, for point blank range )
Accuracy,in the one case being,a very small group..no matter where on target.
