False sense of security

I thought I was at the safest place in the world until yesterday. I go to college at Michigan Tech University in the northern part of the upper pensula of Michigan. At 3:30 AM a public safety officer found what he thought was a bomb outside the Forestry building. Another bomb was found outside a near by U.S. Forest Service lab. They were later described as 3 five gallon buckets with a milk jug on top with a dark colored substance inside and a timing device. I learned about this situation from the 7 o'clock news just as I was about to head out the door. Classes were still in session, the parking lot where I park was inside the 2000 foot perimeter that was placed around the area. So having to park in a farther lot, I had to walk back through the parking lot that was closed to get onto campus. Makes a lot of sense doesn't it? Walking by I could see the bomb squad guys working away. Another scary thought is the nearest bomb squad was 2 hours away. Today they are saying that this is not related to any of the events that surround September 11th. The Forestry Department just released a report about how it is genetically altering trees. It is believed that an environmentalist group is responsible for the bombs. So far today there has been really quiet, everyone just going about their business. It is really scary how something like this could hit so close to home. Michigan Tech is the safest college in Michigan and the 8th safest in the country. This is something they take great pride in, wonder where we will rank now? http://www.admin.mtu.edu/urel/breaking/2001/package.html

I dont understand it either, but somehow it must be just in there mind. No new developments today. School went on as if nothing had happened. I guess that is best, they want us to be scared to go about our day.

You guys don't understand. To the liberal moron, the end does indeed justify the means, and trees and cute lil' bunnies are worth FAR more than people. If only we could sacrifice their families and loved ones, and see if they still wanted to be an animal/tree rights idiot meathead.
