Finish nailer question

I'm looking at dewalt finish nailers that use 15ga 1 1/4 - 2 1/2 or so nails. One uses "DA" nails - the other just uses 15 ga. nails.

What are "DA" nails?

Thanks guys - I'm new to this,

I only use the cordless ones so mine are all paper, but I believe that refers to the wire nails v. paper banded nails in the air nailers

Use finsh nailers for years and never heard of DA nails. Also most trim nailers use either 16ga or 18ga nails. The best nail guns out there in my opinion coming from many years of experience in Senco. I have never owned Dewalt but have owned about every other kind there is and the Senco last me longer and I can rebuild them easier when they do wear out.

sorry I am an idiot. I was thinking framing guns. Teach me to skim. One is an angle finish nailer, the other is a straight nailer. Sorry

The best I can figure out from looking through Google it's two names for the same thing.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Dewalt lists 2 angle finish nailers on their site. Althought there is a slight difference in the length of the nails, one says "DA" nails. I think I'll drive over to Lowes and get my hands on them. Maybe it will be obvious.

Scenic Lizton, IN got our first snow last night - about 2".

Get the Hitachi 15ga, angled finish nailer. I hate Black & Decker products, (Dewalt). The Hitachi will last longer, hit harder, be more comfortable in your hand, and has a blower built in.(That really helps when there is sawdust in the way).

My Lowes carries Hitach also. I'll check them both out.
