since there are those that believe that it's constitutionally sound for health care to be a "right" and that planned parenthood should be allowed to receive taxpayer money against the will of most religious minded people just because the poor can't afford it then why can't we apply the same logic to the 2nd amendment which IS a right, plainly written?

I say we pass a law that would allow for the poor who can own a gun legally be given first choice on all police turn ins and confiscations rather than having the weapons destroyed.

think the left would like their logic (I know) used against them?

like other topics its a one way street for the libs its only makes sense when its in there favor
and they look at gun owners are trying to go the wrong way on there street

I f I remember was ( Switzerland [:D]) the country that issue a rifle to the people when they turned 18 , maybe that was some time ago ?
could you image the libs and dems just passing out in the street if we adopted such a law [:D]

oh yes, they have a right to health care.

...but their logic skips a step.

they have the right to all the health care they can afford. who has the right to stop them?

they don't have the right to make you, or me, or the government, pay for it.

they also have the right to eat cheeseburgers. and...?

They don't actually get to keep it. It's mandatory for all men at the age of 20 to join the Armed Forces unless incapable to join because of physical or mental disabilities, or can be deferred if attending school out of the country for up to four years (women can volunteer). If you are unable to join because of disabilities you have to pay an extra 2% in taxes until you are the age of 30. Upon joining they spend between 16 to 20 weeks in basic training being taught what is necessary to learn what they need to for their respective jobs in the military. Upon completion of basic training 95% of them are put on ready reserve status, which lasts until they're 30 years old for the Grunts, 38 years old for the NCOs and from 58 to 65 for officers. While they are on ready reserve status, it is mandatory that they keep and maintain their government issued personal equipment until retirement age which includes their firearm(s). Upon retirement they are obligated to turn in their equipment including their firearm(s). I hope this clears it up for you guys. But wouldn't it be nice if every man between the 20 to 30 and beyond in the United States would be on ready reserve status?

well seems i have a RIGHT to bleed tax money for unemployed, illegal, lazy, incompetent, etc, at an accelerating pace.....(did i mention illegal)...no issues with the truly mentally, physically, or aged, handicapped citizen....i have an issue with all the food drives for kids ...our school systems feeds them year around here...i'd wager almost every parent out there has a home, car, tv, computer, phone, minutes, beer, cigs, freebies cards, etc, but food drives are a regular advertised event ????? ....and they show a line of people going thru getting carts stuffed full..not a skinny one in the lot

Before the left would be willing to allow poor folk a shot at weapons slated for destruction.

Agree a better and slightly lightly to be passed. Adapt to a plan with a similar end result requiring all citizens to serve for 2 years for our country.

A critical fact you must remember is DEMOCRATs are hypocrites.

Laws do not apply to these elitists, they apply to everyone else. The Clintons are exempt from all laws. Leftists like Zuckerberg surround themselves with a dozen or more armed guards but will take away your Second Amendment right in a heartbeat if they had the power.

Those Swiss K-31's are fine rifles. I bought 3 about 10 years ago, put a Cerakote finish and Richards stock on one, kept one original, and sold one last year. Unusual straight pullback bolt action and most all are in fine condition. The only common problem is the butt end of the stock can be water damaged. This is caused by them being stacked in the snow during annual training. Also, it is interesting the many still have the name and address of the original owner in the stock covered by the buttplate.
It's too late for me, save yourself.
