I've decided I either need a Dewey rod or a Bore Tech. I dont see on Bore Tech's site whether or not their rods accept standard 8/32 threaded accessories or what. Do any of you know? I would like to get their rod, because it will take male accessories, and presumably the accessories I have will work with it, but I'm not sure of the thread size.I'd get the Dewey, but its a male rod, and I dont want to order one of the so called special rods, as its not the length I need, so help out with the description on the Bore Tech if you will, is it 8/32 or what? Also, what are the opinions of people using a small diameter rod for all calibers, you know, I'm cheap, but will it be detrimental to the bore of the gun, I dont think it ever has before, but now I have expensive guns and dont want to hurt them.

Sorry for not addressing your question directly but I just bought a Dewy one-piece coated rod for my .223. It came with a female adaptor that will allow it to accept male attachments.

Where did you buy yours from anyway, I cant even find the length I need anywhere but on Dewey's website, and its a crappy site, cant order from it, or get the form to come up you're suppose to send in.

I emailed Dewey and told them about my rifle and and its barrel length. I told them what rod and what attachments I was looking for. I know their website stinks and their catalog is only a little better but they emailed me back with the stock numbers of the parts I needed. Then I went down to the local sporting goods store that stocks Dewey Rods and accessories and purchased them there.
