Laws used to justify Ariz. sheriff's raids upheld
USA Today 16 hours ago
PHOENIX - A federal judge ruled Tuesday that the laws used to back Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's workplace raids will remain on the books, capping off a two-year lawsuit that claimed Arizona's identity-theft statutes targeted immigrant workers. In his decision, U.S. District Court Judge David Campbell found that while the laws did largely affect undocumented immigrants, they also served as a legitimate law-enforcement tool in combating identity theft. "The laws were passed in part for their effect on immigration by unauthorized aliens," he wrote, "but the legislature was also addressing a pressing criminal problem that adversely affected Arizona residents." They will seek another avenue to make sure those that think like Joe are put on notice.
Much of this will likely change when Trump takes office. He needs to start with the border states in replacing US Attorneys to those have actually have law and order in their hearts.

7-Project your traitorous behavior onto your opponent

At 84 years of age , that also may not have played well for him.
I wouldn't hesitate to vote for him if he wants to move north.
He can use a rest from all the trials of law.
Joe was voted out mostly because of his age. He's 84. A Phoenix Newspaper columnist that loves open borders and hates Joe predicted that Trump will pardon him as soon as he can. He deserves to be pardoned or just have the charges dropped. He was only doing what we wanted him to do.
Ok I got to stir the pot.
His mandate isn't to do what anyone wanted him to do. It was to uphold the law.
He did some amusing things with outdoor prisons and pink pajamas several decades ago. I was a fan.
But he violated the 4th amendment rights of a lot of people. This decision notwithstanding.
I like the 4th. It's one of my favorites. Right up there with the 2nd and 1st.

Do illegals have 4th amendment rights ? Do illegals have the right to anything in the constitution? Like protesting? Free Speech?
If they do, who pays the costs? Should a fund be set up? Legal representation ? Court costs?
Slippery slope and getting slippier all the time:
