Non-paying bidders? Do they just hate me?

I've auctioned 3 things here in the past month. 2 of the winning bidders did not pay, even after getting into protracted bidding wars to win the auctions. One didn't ever respond and the other went so far as to tell me the check was in the mail, etc. dragging it out until I finally decided to give up and relist 20 days after the auction ended and 10 days after he told me the check was on the way. Does this sound like I just have really bad luck or have others had the same odds?

They got their feedback alright, they don't need to waste anyone else's time...I'll leave out the speech on what they say about society today and not taking responsibility and etc, etc, etc...

Try not to get discouraged. Give the deadbeat an "F" feedback and relist your item as soon as you can. If it's a good item at a reasonable price, most times it will sell. I've had more than my share of deadbeats, but GunBroker has a lot of good, serious buyers out there. Just keep listing!

    *,
It was a Remington 1100 Magnum (3730745), and a spare barrel(3661101), both w/ no reserve on Gunbroker (I hadn't decided to sell my shotgun yet when I first listed my barrel, so they're seperate).
I relisted the barrel today (4004975) and I guess It's time I give up and relist the shotgun too.
As for type of seller I am... I'm just a guy who wants a double barreled shotgun, so I have to sell off everything else to afford it!

It happened to me on my first TWO gun auctions. It gets better.
