Rev. Al Sharpton for President......

edited August 2002 in General Discussion
Meet the Press this morning interviewed him and this is what he had to say: "You cannot have a discussion about important issues if you are armed! Therefore, I am for immediate registration of all guns!"

Now just what the hell here? When having a discussion, "Do you let your concealed weapon do the talking?" What weird ideas these jerks have! Here's another one that thinks he has special power and that the 2nd Amendment doesn't exist! Where would he get the power to enforce gun registration? That power is not there for any President, or anyone else for that matter! Another POS Politician! Should stick to baptizing babies!

Al Sharpeton is a joke as a presidential candidate. His past contains far too many questions regarding both his sanity and his operating within the law for him to be taken seriously. He can run, but he can't hide (from his past). Anyone who wastes money promoting his candidacy is stupid and gullible, and might as well give the bundle to charity or throw it in the street and set it on fire.

If that were only true, the nation would be a far different place.

Fact is, his poll numbers suggest that there are something like several hundred thousand black individuals (at least) out there who think he would make an excellent President. The fact that he was caught on video buying cocaine in an FBI sting and is a compulsive liar is unimportant, because The Man (more specifically, the WHITE Man) conspired to frame him because they secretly hate the black man and want to see him put back in chains.

In a related story, they also think the government killed Malcom X and Martin Luther King, robbed them of their ballots in Florida, and violates their "civil rights" on a daily basis ("Well sure they saw me come outta the crack house, but they searched me cause I was BLACK! Racist pig cops! Lets start a riot!").

There. Is that enough righteous vitriol for one day? Cause I can come out with more if you'd like.

Edit: Changed the name. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakhan, Malcom X, Fred Hampton, H. Rap Brown. They're all the same to me.

    RancheroPaul --
Al makes a Freudian slip, by the way, when he says you can't have a discussion when you're armed, so let's REGISTER all guns. Doesn't that suggest that he thinks registration is to be followed by immediate confiscation? Tsk, tsk, Mr. Sharpeton. Gotcha.

Even the people who have to deal with Al Sharpeton wish they didn't have to, but they know he is a force in a portion of the Black community. This is not the kind of guy who has a large enough base to be a serious candidate for President. The most embarrassing part is that he apparently doesn't know that, or doesn't care that he can't win. I love what somebody said here about splitting some of the Democratic vote though. That alone should make me support his candidacy for the "party of the Donkey."

As long as the black community allows people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson be their voice. They don't stand a chance to advance in anything. These two are as big a thieves and crooks as any black man has ever been. Until they recognize that they need someone that is in it for the right reasons, with an intelligent voice, and resonable agenda, they are going to be disregarded as unresonable, welfare grubbin, pieces of sh#t.

I would vote for al in a New York minute, if he ran for the most run-down,stinking outhouse in the remotest spot in the U.S and not doubt that handed this job he would rise to the opportunity to serve his country in a position best suited to his equivlent mental capacity.
al sharpton president of the outhouse. Has a nice ring to it, don't you think, or are there some among you that feel that this would be elevating him beyond his present qualifications?

"The assumption that spending more of the taxpayer's money will make things better has survived all kinds of evidence that it has made things worse. The black family- which survived slavery, discrimination, poverty, wars and depressions- began to come apart as the federal government moved in with its well-financed programs to "help."

Alan Keyes is intelligent, articulate and forthright, and yet not embraced by many blacks. I think the reason for this is not due to his "Oreo" image, but rather that he is too cerebral for the job. Perhaps a black candidate with more common appeal than Keyes and a far less radical bent than Sharpeton will one day emerge. Until then, I do not think there will be a serious black contender for the Presidency.

I think "the Reverend Al" would be a wonderful candidate for President. I think he would well represent the views of his people and I call on all similar minded members of his constituency to rise up and support him. His views must be heard. The people of the United States must have the opportunity to hear what he has to say and how he would represent us!!!! And then of course we have election day and we will see just how his views are truly seen by the people of the United States!!........Of course i said the same thing about Jimmy Carter and that SOB WAS elected!!! P.S. I WOULD vote for Allen Keyes anytime on election day. Beach

Maybe Al as president would be a good thing. He would accelerate the
liberal agenda fast enough to where people would see the true socialist nature the far left.It might be just the thing to trigger
much needed revolt in this country.Support Al, and we could truely
get the opprotunity to return this country to it's true roots of a republic, based on democratic principals.

No need to jump to conlusions here now....

    Please allow me to explain,

What the Reverend is saying here:

He came to this press meeting "unarmed".

And until all guns are registered, he isn't about to discuss important issues.

    In otherwords;

"My first and formost item on my agenda as a Presidential candidate may ignite a race riot, this hear issue is to important to discuss while armed, so before I discuss it you'll have to register your guns; otherwise I won't discuss such important these issues"

    Reparations....

OK, let's not register our guns...

You all know that jesse jackson gets paid by the democrats not to run for president. When he runs it splits the democratic vote and gives the Republicans an advantage. I think old al just wants a piece of the pie.
