Some Rare Rifles

I started taking pictures of some stuff. I thought I would share them with you as one fellow today told me he'd never seen some of them before.
The first four I don't have any more. I sold some and gave some to Seth, my Godson.
The first is the German High Turret Mauser. It was a byf44 with a 4X Ajack scope.
The second is a Walther G-41W. It uses the Bang gas extraction system, but became the basis for the eventual production rifle, the G-43.
The third rifle is the G-43. This one was made by duv in 1944. I also had the Zf-4 scope and mount for it.
The fourth rifle is the uber rare G-41M. It was the Mauser entry and could be semi-automatic, or you could manually operate it as a bolt action rifle. It also used the Bang gas system.
Hitler had a hang up about gas holes in the barrel. He didn't want the barrels drilled. No matter the SVT 38 and 40 plus the Garand worked sufficiently well to equip the respective armies. Eventually, the Walther engineers went ahead and tapped the barrel of the G-43, they just didn't tell Hitler.
The next four I still have on the wall.
My carbines;
'71 Mauser 11mm.
Type 38 Arisaka with Type 2 grenade launcher and added fake grenade. The Arisaka was captured this way. It has reinforcing in the wrist area The Type 2 launcher is a direct copy of the NAZI 98 grenade launcher. I have some original German rifle grenade and they fit the Japanese model perfectly. The fake Japanese grenade was created by a gentleman in the 90's. He made a lot of less than 100 out of billet aluminum. It could actually be fired with a spec blank cartridge.
G33/40 1940 945 code.
Last but not least, a Gewehr 88 in original 8x57j caliber.
There is a curio and relic page on FB. Mostly military, but some civilian commercial. Lots of good picture.

Hell that little * has a fine collection of his own. He makes a ton of money and is currently on a Rhodesian Light Infantry kick.
When I was a lowly third class sailor in 1978, it took me three payments to pay the princely sum of $250 for that G-43 out of a Portsmouth VA pawnshop. [:p][:p]
I see you're already decorating for Halloween. You've already got your cobwebs up.[:D]
