My '73 Pantera. Been up on blocks for 15 years.
Lowrider: I got an informal tour of Taylor Made Guitars one time when they had a fire in the factory. I got to break open the door to let FD in. When the fire was out, and the smoke was gone, I got a tour of the place.
I don't play well enough to own Taylor.

    Alpine,
I worked on a couple of Pantera's back in the 70's....don't hear to much about them anymore. Nice cars...also worked on a Mongoosta (SP?) another mid-engine Ford powered unit.

    My most prized posession.....our home.

I have only worked on one, and worked on it and worked. Many years ago I went through it replacing radiators, radiator fans, half axles, rebuilt motor. It was dialed in. But with 475 hp it liked half premium gas and avaition fuel. Would not run right on any thing else. I got busy and could not play with it any more. So I put it up on blocks, and there it stays.

Rembrant: The Mangusta was the precurser to Pantera. They used the 302 Ford engine.

SXSMan: Leading in is a lost art. Everyone now just uses Bondo. I didn't see that movie. So I don't know the car.

I logged many hours on that car.It was on a spit that could be turned 360 degrees.Painted the ZF with expoxy black, sanded and polished the ribs.4 45 dcoe webers with a custom air filter housing. This car belongs to my boss,he has a bent chrome plated rod from that engine hanging on the wall in his office from a time he was racing a motorcycle.I must say even though I'm sure I won't be able to afford one the idea of bring back the Ford GT 40 I feel is pretty cool.

The auctioned car I'm working on is a Lamborghini Miura, mid engine V-12.I'm sure if Xracer saw this thread he would have gotten it.If you don't know what one looks like here is a link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1821936219 . Hope you get your Pantera back on the road,I'm sure you remember the fun.
