Drone Down Today

Drones have been in the news for a while. About a week or two ago some idiot few one firing a gun. Given that, and knowing that shooting down drones is a possible arrest option, isn't a "fear of my life" a reasonable defense? Where is Earl now? :)

A guy in Kentucky shot one down over his house 4 days ago that was taking pictures of his daughter sun bathing and they threw him in jail for shooting a gun in the city.

That's the one I just saw 500. Firing a gun within the city might be argued that he was protecting the life of his family. This will someday come to court. Chances are that if one shows up over our pool when the two grand-daughters are swimming, there might be a wounded bird.

We need a firearm which isn't illegal to discharge in town and yet damaging enough to knock a drone out of the air. I'm thinking something like an industrial sized wrist rocket and 00 buck shot in a nice pattern.

"Firing a gun within the city might be argued that he was protecting the life of his family."

Quite a stretch to get from taking pictures of a girl to endangering a family.

"We need a firearm which isn't illegal to discharge in town"

If you want to live in town, you should accept the regulations of a "high density" environment.

If you have a problem with "drones" check out the invasion of privacy (peeping Tom) laws and hunt down the drone operator. Once found, call your local LEO and let them handle the problem. Personally, I'd rather just find the perv and beat the crap out of him but still not legal.
