I live in the Hickory Nc area. I am really interested in picking up a tristar 9 from daewoo, prefer a compact model, or a feg hi power clone.Which one do you guys like, does the feg hold up, my colt government model has for 18 years, looking new and shooting 2.25" groups all day. Any dealers out there look me up or e-mail at amikeal@charter.net. 500.0 gun funds burning my pocket.

The FEG Hi-Power clone that I owned was quite accurate. Double-taps at 20 yards landed within 4 inches on the same paper plate. However, the hammer bit the webbing between my thumb and forefinger every time I fired it. The magazine safety causes a gritty trigger pull as well. It's an inexpensive 9mm to shoot and was a pleasure except for the hammer-bite. If you have a gunsmith willing to work some of those kinks out you should have a fine shooter if you choose the FEG. The FEG is of all-steel construction. It is rumored to be durable. I only owned mine for about 6 months.[This message has been edited by idsman75 (edited 04-07-2002).]

I've got one of the Daewoo compact 9mm's available. I've had dozens of the FEG's over the years. They are both good guns. LRARMSX@MCHSI.COM
