Never gave it much thought until recently.
Been luggin' the same ol' Kershaw Black Colt around for about 20 years or more.
Easy to know when I've left it behind 'cause I realize I ain't walkin' right.[;)]
Found a little Parker Brothers lock-blade in a box of sheeeeet a while back and said to myself,"Self, why not put it in the other pocket?"
Never do know when I might not be able to get to that other pocket.
Right[?][;)]

Does anyone know of a knife maker that makes a good old fashioned carbon steel bladed pocket knife nowadays ? If so,could you post a link or an address.
Thanks , nashflash
Klein Tools electrician's knife is not stainless and it rusts (blackens after cleaning) very easily.

I love Cold Steel knives; they're tough and take & keep an edge, and they back them up.

I know the guy.. his name is Rusty.
Opinel.
Years back I bought one of their picnic knives, i.e. the one that has a very spartan wooden handle with a slot cut into it, a carbon steel blade and a simple twist-to-lock metal ring to keep it open and rigid. Use it a lot when we travel.
