What are gun prices doing?

I am trying to get a read on gun prices. The market is as inconsistant as another market.

Have fuel costs filter into gun prices?

Has the increase in CCW holders increased prices?

Will Heller decision increase demand?

Slow economy causing folks to sell guns to get money?

Any thoughts???[?]

Prices seem to have been pretty stable on new guns, but obviously that will change with higher fuel costs trickling into the price of everything.

This is the time of year that all of the distributors are trying to get rid of this year's inventory. They will discount the older models a little just to try and sell them....but no gunstore wants to "stock up" for summer. Summer is a dead time of year in gun sales. You can't really predict anything during the summer. Most people find deals in the summer because that is when people are trying to come up with money for vacations and home repair.

Prices are down a little. Now is the absolute worst time to sell anything...and I wouldn't unless you just had to.

BINGO, and high fuel prices, at least that is what it seems like around here.

I priced a new RIA at local shop about 3 months ago. $389.
Went back to buy it 3 months later after saving the money and price had dropped to $374.

don't think i will sell a gun to make rent/mtg payment,

broke is broke. the extra cash will only buy you a week or so any way

i think i would rather be broke (maybe even homeless) with a gun then with out one.

    either way your still broke.

rare guns that were set aside for rainy days are coming out of the closets and rich people are buying them.

average joes guns arent selling and rich people are hovering waiting for steals when average joe gets desperate and sells them cheap.

I think this sums up part of the trend.
