Struggled all afternoon getting my new computer set up. Why do they keep changing the cable connections? Took three trips to the store to get the right cables. But it does seem to work fine. Faster and more powerful than my old one.

As I was getting it wrapped up the rental agent called to say the house I inherited this year has finally rented. With repairs and regular expenses I spent about $14,000 on it so I will be glad to get some positive cash flow at last.

What changed? Are you talking about VGA to DVI? PS/2 to USB? HDMI? What did you have problems with?

Anyway, glad to hear about your progress. [:)]

I think monitor uses DVI and old PC used VGA and I had trouble figuring out which cable I needed. Turned out new PC is also DVI so I needed a standard DVI cable. Of course, I didn't know any of this when I started being computer illiterate.
