I'm a bit aggravated.

The auction closed on Sunday. Monday morning I went to PO and sent MO for item. He had payment on Thursday. He doesn't ship until Tuesday...late in the day on Tuesday. If he had gotten in out on Friday it would have arrived this week while I'm on vacation and I could have taken it to the range. Now I figure I'll get it late on Friday missing that opportunity.

I'm sure he had a real good reason for sitting on my payment for 5 days before bothering to get it out. When I sell (which is rarely) the item goes out NEXT DAY after payment. A couple of times when the buyer has been known to me from the forum I shipped same day the auction closed not even waiting for payment. Guess I'm kooky.

It will work out fine, you can load some ammo for it before it gets there. [;)][:D]

I think shipping should be done VERY soon after payment is received, two days max; but I am weird about that and my neck hurts like a sum-beech.

He isn't late for this vacation, he is incredibly early for your next vacation.

Some will die in hot pursuit
    And fiery auto crashes
Some will die in hot pursuit
    While sifting through my ashes
Some will fall in love with life
And drink it from a fountain
That is pouring like an avalanche
    Coming down the mountain

We had to pick two days to do shipping....getting things boxed up every day and trying to get the pickups scheduled when we had boxes was driving everyone crazy here. So, now we ship on Tuesdays and Fridays. Nothing is here a long time after payment arrives...the longest something can be here waiting to ship after payment arrives is 2 days.

I have had sellers send me the stuff before they got my MO. I have also had a guy who took a week because of some personal issues that came up on his end.

I have forgotten to send the MO for a couple days. And I have sent it the next day.

In each case, we all seem to have both survived with little or no long term damage. I just find that I cannot get that wound up over a couple days one way or the other. It seems there are usually more important things to burn stomach lining over.

I normally mail payment out the next day also. Been thru the same waiting situation but it never really bothered me. It's not a situation one can control.

I normally send a money order out the day after the auction ends. It also bugs me when they wait several days or a week to ship.

We sell a fair amount on here and ship guns out THE day we get payment and FFL provided it is before about 2pm, after that it goes out the next day probably 95% of the time.

That above is probably why it bugs me so much when they wait.

But in the end a few days doesn't really hurt anyone.

It just bugs me when some sellers end a gun on a Thursday night, only accepts a postal money order and says payment must be in hand within 7 days or negative feedback will be left. Then ships the gun a week later.

Don't know anything about Amazon Prime. I do wish a seller would wait 5 days before shipping the item. I made an effort to get payment out to him ASAP only to have him wait 5 days after it arrived.

A tragedy? Of course not. Like I said, I'm a little aggravated.

Good news is that according to USPS tracking it should arrive tomorrow so weather permitting I may get to the range on Friday.
