Thanks for the book. Interesting reading. Also enjoyed the story about the book.
I didn't know England bought 108 brand new Colt SAAs in 1940 for home defense. May have been the last 1st Generation SAAs produced. I knew they were buying any gun they could get and asking Americans to donate sporting arms to defend England as they had wisely confiscated and destroyed all the privately owned guns in the 1930s but I never heard about the Colts. Of course after the war they destroyed the Colts and all those donated guns because once a nation turns stupid it never goes back.
