    I'm a vet who has lived outside of the country for almost 30 years ... and now that I'm back, it is rather neat to see that vets are appreciated. I did not make the ultimate sacrifice! I did almost cry during the speeches yesterday. I think at one point in my life I would have seen it as being rather corny, how callous of me![V]

    I remember my first 4th of July after I got back ... wow![:D] I am humbly proud to be an American.

    went to the local vfw cemetary tribute yesterday morn & helped the members pick up & fold flags in the evening....i am not a veteran but in watching all the idiot sheet that has been happening in our govt & country the last few years has made me more appreciative & respectful of the ones who have sacrificed & served....
