read the book a couple of times but this is the first specifics about the air rifle i have heard...46 cal pumped up to 800psi by 1500 strokes for up to 40 shots... ..narrator states he has fired a modern repro .....anyone know about the repro or if there is a comparable one made now to that old tech ??? impressive

Spasm- search for pre charged pneumatic. IIRC, they make them up to .50 cal, use a SCUBA tank at 3000 psi.

yep also had a short info on an air rifle that looked like a flintlock used way back to take deer..in France i think...see if i can find which book it was in
