I was shooting some Roman candles for my son once upon a time back in the early 80s. I was holding them in my hand and lighting them and I must have set off a dozen or so. Since they only shot out a fire ball instead of exploding I didn't think to much about safety. Then I ran out of the ones that I had that were made in the USA and started to light one that was made in China. As I started to light the fuse I got to thinking about "Made in China" and decided to put the thing in a clay vase sitting on the porch instead of holding it in my hand. I lite the fuse and stood back and it went...BOOM!!! [:0] Everything in the tube went off at the same time instead of shooting out one at a time. It blew that thick clay vase to bits!

My nick name today would be stubby had I been holding that thing in my hand. That was the last fireworks I ever had any thing to do with.

Yeah I should have read the directions that said..."do not hold in hand while lighting" but, I never read directions until I can't figure something out. [:I]
