one of the best feelings you'll ever have.........

is when someone says your word is good.

I bought a 2005 Buick Lesabre from my mechanic today. it came from a friend of his who's wife is too old to drive. 52k miles and just dealer serviced and looks/runs like new.

$6200 - KBB calls for $5088 with 104k miles, so 1200 more for a 52k mile car with a sunroof which is hard to find was worth it to me, ESPECIALLY when the dealer couldn't find anything wrong with it. whens the last time you heard that from a dealer ???!!!!! never happened to me, lol. I looked on the bay and found about 12 or so 2004 or 5 models and none had a sunroof. I like a sunroof.

anyway I looked at it this am and then called him just now and told him I'd take it and would have to call my investment guy and have funds transferred into my checking account and asked him did he want me to give him a deposit until that came through.

he said no need that he knew if I said it, that it was a done deal and just come get it when I get the cash.

unless you are giving to charity there's not a better feeling you can have.

on a side note the buick is white with saddle leather, and premium everything, even sun roof.

I decided on it after I checked the mpg rating website and that huge car gets 22/29!!!

anyone looking for a 89 ford festiva in great condition? 5sp, 158k, ac (needs compressor), kenwood, tint, bunch of new parts, new tires (13's), 32mpgs in town.

nice a one as you will find, and NO RUST !!!

$2500

ghad, I guess with the purchase of a Buick it's official - I am now an old fart.

I understand your emphasis on people trusting your integrity. It does feel good that people consider your word worthy of their trust. I have had a half dozen Buicks and never been disappointed in any of them. Enjoy your good deal.

Yeah that 3.8L, when cared for properly, really does run a long time...my dad's just rolled over 200000.

Except for that little intake problem causing the engine to hydrolock on the 3800-11's.

Had something all planned to say then read this. Gotta admit nothing beats your kids being excited to see you. We brought Santa to a unit Christmas party in an ASV (Armored Security Vehicle) with Santa in the turret. As we pulled up all the kids went wild. I heard my daughter hollering to Santa. As I stepped out of the vehicle my daughter starts yelling DADDY! She then proceeded to tell everyone around her "that's my Dad!". It was truly humbling to realize I was more important than Santa. i have bought and sold several tracts of land on a verbal deal, handshake , and once bought an irrigation system in October and never signed anything till it was delivered and set up in July of the next year ..this was when manufacturing was running waaay behind and from a dealer i had never done business with before....that integrity means a lot to me ..learned that from my grandad
