Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas also hands out nicknames to the people who work for her. The Houston Democrat addressed one of her employees as "you stupid rabble rouser." And not just once, but "constantly," recalls the staffer, "like, all the time."
Another Jackson Lee aide recounts the time her parents came to Washington to visit: "They were really excited to come to the congressional office. They're small town people, so for them it was a huge deal. They were actually sitting in the main lobby waiting area..[Jackson Lee] came out screaming at me over a scheduling change. Called me a `stupid idiot. Don't be a moron, you foolish girl' and actually did this in front of my parents, of all things."

Yet another staffer remembers requesting a meeting early on in her tenure to ask how best to serve the congresswoman. Jackson Lee's response: "What? What did you say to me? Who are you, the Congresswoman? You haven't been elected. You don't set up meetings with me! I tell you! You know what? You are the most unprofessional person I have ever met in my life." With that, Jackson Lee hung up the phone.
According to the same staffer, Jackson Lee "would always say, `What am I a prostitute? Am I your prostitute? You can't prostitute me.'"
Capitol Hill is famous for its demanding, insensitive bosses. Yet even by the harsh standards of Congress, Sheila Jackson Lee stands out. She may be the worst boss in Washington. "It's like being an Iraq War veteran," says someone who worked for her. Strangers may say, "`oh I know what you've been through.' No, you really don't. Because until you've experienced it.. People don't tell the worst of the stories, because they're really unbelievable."
For some, a job in Jackson Lee's office proved not just emotionally but physically perilous. One staffer recalls a frank conversation with his doctor, who told him he needed to quit. "It's your life or your job," the doctor told him, warning that the stress and long hours were wreaking havoc on his body.
Only a few on staff fought back. One of Jackson Lee's drivers became so frustrated with her abuse the person pulled the car over and demand she stop: "She's screaming and swearing. `M.F.' everything. Finally I slammed on the brakes and told her to get the hell out of my car. I'm like `I can't drive with you like this. Either get out, or you can calm down.' And she's like `you need to go or get fired.' I'm like, `that's fine. But I'm either leaving without you or you can calm down,'" the staffer said.

Jackson Lee then threatened to call the police and claim she was being held hostage in the car. But she finally did calm down when the staffer called her bluff, offering to flag down a Capitol Police officer to explain the situation.
Former aide Michael Mcatypicaly said his experience with other "difficult" bosses on the Hill prepared him for how to handle Jackson Lee. "I've worked for two other members. They did the same thing," he said.
"It was at first, I'm not going to lie to you, it was a rough patch with her and me. But I took her to the side and I let her know that, you know, `Congresswoman, I'm a man before anything else.' And after that, we had no problems. We had no problems," Mcatypicaly said.
Of the scores of Jackson Lee staffers contacted by The Daily Caller, only Mcatypicaly offered an affirmative defense of the congresswoman's management techniques. "A lot of people just did not know how to go, and say, `hey, that's inappropriate,'" Mcatypicaly said.
Sheila Jackson-Lee might be the dumbest person in congress. She might even be the dumbest person outside congress. If there were ever a global championship for idiots, the country could send her there. And leave her there; because unlike Lassie, she wouldn't be able find her way back on her own.
When Enron wanted someone to use as a puppet, they picked Sheila Jackson-Lee. They wanted a woman who didn't have a mind of her own. Enron executives described her as "agreeable", which was a polite way of saying, "dumber than a bunch of rocks caught in the hubcaps of a slow bus going the wrong way on a one way street in the middle of a flood."
Jackson-Lee's only qualification for sitting on the Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics was the space between her ears. She visited JPL and asked if the Mars Rover would be able to show "the flag the astronauts planted there before". Staffers were reportedly surprised that she didn't complain about cost overruns on the Death Star.
In February, Congress was debating federal spending. And Sheila Jackson-Lee got up to make her contribution denouncing a Pepsi commercial as racist. Other things that Jackson-Lee has denounced as racist include hurricanes, a balanced budget and secret service agents. Crying "Racism" is actually her only life skill.
In 2003, Sheila Jackson-Lee complained that hurricane names were too "lilly white" and said that "All racial groups should be represented." She suggested Hurricanes "Keisha, Jamal and Deshawn".
Last year, Lee tried to denounce the Tea Party as racist at an NAACP meeting, but in the middle of it she forgot the word for sheets, and condemned them for wearing, "uh, clothing with a name." Which is exactly how most of the rest of Congress refers to her.
Not only has Jackson-Lee voted against every national security measure she could think of, but she actually goes out looking for dictators to support. She invited Assad to speak in Texas, urged F-16 parts sales to Hugo Chavez, called for an end to economic sanctions against Saddam and participated in an event conducted by an Iranian regime front group against military action on Iran. She might be considered a walking security risk, if she actually knew anything.

I could have told you that she doesn't treat her staff well just from what I have seen with my own eyes. She also does not seem to care too much about soldiers based on how I saw her treat them in Houston last year.

On Feb. 4th, 2012, there was a grand opening of an Army National Guard/Reserves super armory in north Houston.
Several officials were invited to a big ribbon cutting ceremony. Sheila Jackson Lee was also invited because this armory happens to be in her district. Sheila Jackson Lee was a keynote speaker for the event.
The trouble started when Lee was late to the ribbon cutting. The event could not start without her and the soldiers/officials just had to wait in a room, missing important training/work time, until Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee arrived nearly an hour late. She is a Congresswoman, so you might be thinking that maybe she had some important business to do. Wrong. The reason she was late is because they could not find the armory. Yes, the congresswoman had no idea where the new military super-armory was located in her district.
When Lee finally arrived at the armory, she was already late, but she still sat in her car for another several minutes texting /doing something on her phone while the soldiers and officials waited inside.
When Lee was finished on her phone, I was very surprised to see what happened next. Instead of opening the door of her car, she gave a horrible stare towards her staffer to get his attention and then looked down at the car door. This was your highness Lee's way of telling her butler, I mean staffer, that he better come open the door for her right now because it is beneath the Congresswoman to open her own door. So much for all the talk from Democrats about how they connect with the regular person right? The staffer rushed over and opened the door and the Congresswoman finally got out of the car to go into the event.
Then there was her speech. It had little to do with the military. The most insulting part was that she kept talking about race and about how you "don't judge the book by its color/cover." The room was filled with all different races from black to white to Hispanic. The military is very diverse and does not have issues with segregation or even much discrimination. Soldiers in the military, especially in the armory she was speaking at, are of all different races and ranks and they work together very well and have for many decades. The soldiers of course kept their bearing and acted professional in front of the Congresswoman at the event, but her speech created a lot of talk and head scratching by the soldiers who were wondering who this person was and why she was lecturing the diverse group about race. It is funny to think back and recall her taking about not judging because Sheila Jackson Lee was certainly quick to judge when she declared Zimmerman guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin based on race, and she even claimed Zimmerman broke his own nose. So much for not judging and innocent until proven guilty.
After the speech, congresswoman Lee was supposed to go on a tour of the new facility. She didn't. Sheila Jackson Lee said that she needed to go so they took a couple of pictures with her before she ran out the door, including a picture with her holding big scissors cutting the grand opening yellow ribbon. That picture is hanging on the armory wall as a constant reminder of the disconnect between Sheila Jackson Lee and men and women in the military. The hypocrisy is that Lee told the media that she took a tour of the facility, and that was what got reported, even though she did not even tour the facility.
So the moral of the story is that it is not just staff that Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee abuses. She also does not care too much about the soldiers except to use them for a photo-op and news story.

Her ignorance goes almost beyond simple ignorance that people that are uneducated or have very little life experiences have, hers is a criminal ignorance, a stupidity that is not only negligent but condescending at the same time.
If congress was a company I would blow it off as an affirmative action hire but she was elected by citizens that sent her to Washington DC to represent their interests in congress..........thats scary.
What is even more scary is she has represented Texas 18th since 1995......for 18 years!
