    I think it would be inappropriate to consider anyone that has not spent a large portion of their career as an FBI Agent. Graduating from the FBI Academy should be a pre-requisite IMO.

    I heard at lunch the three names being bantered. As I predicted, it's three counterintelligence types with a good solid record no one has ever heard of. The come from within the FBI.

    I'd love to see Sheriff David Clarke. Heard rumblings of Giuliani. Whoever it it I hope they are not some paper pushing Milquetoast butt kisser who will stand up to politicians which includes the POTUS.

    The first thing the libs would do would be to try to tie Christie to the New Jersey mob. The rumors, innuendo, and whispers would dog him for his entire career if he were named to head the FBI. It's be fatal to his success.

    Christie would be the worst "Fit" of the Four I saw mentioned.

    Gowdy needs to stay right where he is.

    Sheriff Clark has the right attitude, but not the specific experience needed.

    Can't even remember the Fourth - 'nuff said.
