Another Thing On DWI

When i was in the military every year we would have a meeting in the movie theater for all the divisions on the base.
We had a Arizona Highway Patrol come in and talk to us about drinking and driving and seatbelts.
Some of the videos were about seatbelts and the movie was named There Is Room To Live.
The movie was not for the week of heart. It showed a lot of dead people that were mangled from not wearing a seat belt.
Then they showed wrecks with people wearing seat belts and you would swear no one lived through it and they would not have a scratch.
Anyway they had 5 or 6 people backstage and at the NCO club drinking.
When the highway patrolman made them do the sobriety test and breathalzer he was 100% right on everyone drinking except one person.
The only one he got wrong was a guy we named Pappy because he was an old E-4 Staff Sergeant. Pappy was a stone cold drinker. I do not know if he was ever sober. He was always the same whether drinking or not.
After the cop was wrong he asked Pappy if he drank more than normal and all of us working with him busted out laughing.
The patrolman admitted that with people who drink a lot are the hardest to judge and get right.
All the others would have been toast. He was within one drink of every person except Pappy.
I drink about 2 times a year and i never drive if i have had 1 drink.
