Trump Can't Reshore Back Those Jobs!

Donald Trump may scare Big Car Companies back here but many SEMI SKILLED JOBS are never coming back to our shores and world-wide there will be less money to purchase goods made here in the future. It's a recipe for a failing economy to make a profit, because of less demand for one's labor and having no money to buy goods.

This will bring despair & unrest to the general populations of most centralized governments & they will not be able to cope. There will be riots and chaos in my opinion. Retraining people for jobs with the new conditions is a lie and a myth.

However, building a large manufacturing sector has traditionally been the path emerging economies have taken to raise living standards. Now, robots and other types of automation are a threat to that development model. In November, the United Nations warned two-thirds of jobs in developing countries are at risk.

You have to peel back the onion and understand the number one reasons for robotics.
Labor costs here in USA are expensive. It is the intangible costs of labor, that is the costs manufacturers/employers must pay merely to place a human being on a payroll that are so costly.
Such intangible costs do absolutely nothing towards production.

Such costs are forced on employers by governments.

Many wonder why China is such a manufacturing superpower. China has few or no natural resources. That is no minerals, petroleum, or other high demand resources. China has barely enough water and food resources for its own population.

What makes China different is their labor cost are low. China does not have to cope with the intangible/non productive costs of labor.

Hell Mao killed millions and The Communist government has all the guns. Your right they are two steps ahead of the game.Cheap labor with suppressive government with all the guns.

Now you know why America is steadily gearing up the The Surveillance state here! They know what's coming!

I suspect regulations in China will be changing soon, after seeing all the smog warnings and all the citizens with masks and asthma and predictions of dire health consequences...

Population control can take many forms, woodhog.

Semi-skilled jobs have a place in America as entry-level positions if, and only if, the American consumer decides to step up and pay for them. I fully understand that there are those that really cannot pay the extra 25%+ for some necessities, and therefore there will always be a place for low cost imported products that take advantage of low labor costs offshore.

That said, those of us who can afford to pay up, or those of us who decide to buy two US made items instead of three off-shored items, should do so.

We as collective consumers have the power to alter the economy in ways to benefit our country. It does involve sacrifice, but the long term benefits should be obvious.
Freedom and a submissive populace cannot co-exist.

If I have a choice I buy American made.
Most of the time there is no choice available.
I returned a pair of boots to Amazon because they were made in China even tho the description said American Made.
I even called the company and told them why they were getting them back.

I saw a show where they took everything out of a house that wasn't made in America.
When they did the only thing left was a flower vase.
Then they refurnished the house with American made stuff only.
Don't remember the exact price but it was somewhere around 2.5 time what they could have done it using non American made.

Maybe China has figured out that if they start a war the population will be reduced. Maybe that's why they are doing all the saber rattling.

"Never" is a mighty long time.

Industrialization has had a Western movement since the dawn of the Industrial Revolution. It started in Europe, migrated to the UK, came to the US and is now headed back to Europe.

It took 100 years for industry to cross the US. It's taken less than 20 years to cross China and have that populous complain about air and water quality.

at the LEAST...the concept of putting AMERICA FIRST in the order of business is rearing its head in the brain dead govt...maybe at least driven by their realization that income needs to be generated here instead of everywhere else so they can get a piece of the action
