but renal failure quickly degraded his quality of life.
He'd been the "King of Beasts" around our place for 15 years, but tonight we had an in-home service send him on his way.
He spent his last minutes laying in my wife's lap, soaking up all the love and affection we could lavish on him.
He deserved nothing less.
If ever we make it to rainbow bridge, I'm not sure the structure will bear the load of all we've sent before us.
Hearts are aching at our house tonight.

They're never 'just' an old cat, or dog, or whatever... They always mean more to us than one could have thought possible.
i know the hurt as ive had 3 in the last while..

his 7 year old hand and my 64 year old hand
..i want to get rid of this pic forever cause it still brings a tear to my eye but i cant
