Have/ever have one!
We found a '93 Tracker for my son (to fetch parts for his '72 302/F100 project!).
Know it needs a clutch kit.
What to look for?
(Planning to see it/pick it up at noon.)

ing fine.
We traded it in for a brand new 05 Chevy Malibu, which was the first new car I ever bought, and also the worst piece of junk I ever bought... We kept the Malibu two years, until it had 17,000 or so miles on it... In it's 17,000 miles, it ate up 3 power steering racks and a computer. Gone to the dealer as the parts were never on hand...
Want a 5 spd 4x4.
Figure I could find one for less than a Kawasaki Mule or other side by side.
It was freaking awesome.
Until totaled by the proverbial little blue haired lady.

6 bills for this one!
For $600, if it runs get it!
THe biggest issue with these is rusting. make sure that it either has the underbody coating or isn't rusted, especially around the rear wheel wells and door hinges. Also check to mke sure the exhaust manifold isn't cracked between the 3rd and 4th cyl. They'll still run fine but let exhaust into the engine compartment and possibly into the cab.
I have a 95 tracker that I paid $3k for from my ag teacher that looks almost new for my daily 100mi round trip to work. If it were an auto I'd say get a bottle of transtune since the 3L30 is notorious for, not shifting out of first until it warms up. Mine has the problem but I just put a 1/2 to full can of transtune in monthly and no problems. Even being 17years old it is much more reliable than my 2003 Silverado LS was.
My mechanic told me that even I would have to try really hard to kill a tracker/sidekick, and may not succeed. Tougher than nails and simple enough you can shade tree mechanic it and being simple there isn't a lot to break
had a 95 tracker hard top 4wd...25k to 53k miles...bought it for $3500 and moved it after wife took grandkids to other town shopping...go anywhere, average 25+ mpg, AC/heater worked great ...BUT...thing would turn turtle in a heartbeat on a sandy road and was no chance on highway against large vehicle...old sensible driver would be a great combo....to risky to take identical triplets anywhere in my book....traded it on a tacoma pickup
How much lift did you have on it? I have essentially the same that you had with 235/75 R15's on it and can take a turn at 40mph without feeling any body sway, or feeling unstable
