All things aside, this is ridiculous

OK, OK I know this is not about the current topic of the terrible disaster in NYC and DC, but I think I have found another sub-culture worthy of our rage: http://www.veganmessageboard.com In one thread, about 1/2 dozen of these guys tried to convince each other that watching NASCAR does not null-and-void your membership in the vegan club. Come on, all!!! Let's give them what for!Bri

I am proud of you Mudge! I am for the venison board myself. A vegan is a pure vegetarian, eating not even eggs or cheese; nothing of animal origin. Personally, I don't believe my ancestors in the distant past clawed their way to the top of the food chain so I could live on leaves, roots and seeds.

If god didn't want us to eat animals he would not have made them out of meat!

Damn.....Thanks for the education. Man!! NO MEAT.....That's really depressing. If we weren't SUPPOSED to eat meat, we wouldn't have canine teeth. Dum bastids!! Oh well, more for us carnivores.Mudge

Mudge,Vegan is a vegitarian who forsakes all animal food products. That is, many vegitarians will drink milk or eat cheese, since that does not require the killing of an animal, but the vegan will eat nothing that is animal-derived.Hope this clears up the definition for you.

What gets me is that vegans will talk themselves out of doing anything for the sake of the animals. They will not wear leather, drink milk, or even go to a freaking petting zoo! In the NASCAR thread, the original poster mulled over the idea that pollution from the cars can end up harming the animals. I bet you that person drives that huge Cadillac SUV and has stock in EXXON.Notice, though that you just can't register and start posting away. The site moderator has to give her own approval. That way, they can be sure that they don't have to listen to any rational outside thoughts. Everybody knows that's the best way to brainwash people.Damn, my hamburger was good at lunch! I could never give up meat or hunting, but I try to minimize the pain and suffering caused by those animals by taking shots that kills them as quickly as possible. Every hunter owes that to the wildlife.Brian

Vegans butcher helpless plants!!! They sneak up on them and cut them at the stalks. They don't even give them a fair chance to fight back or escape. Not very sporting if I say so myself. I want to join the GB chapter of PETA(people eating tasty animals) and counter the Vegans and their barbaric treatment of wheat and soy plants. Beach

I admit it: I'm a vegetarian. No, I'm not kidding. Talk about "vegans" all you like, cause even regular vegetarians consider them a little loony, but please leave us "normal" vegetarians alone. Many of us are not into all that "animal rights" stuff, and I have no problem with Hunting (even though I don't do it myself). If you have any honest questions regarding vegetarianism, feel free to ask.

Im not real crazy about all that store bought meat. If I could, all I would eat as far as meat goes is the DEER and FISH that I KILL myself!!! It tastes so good and it is so healthy to be on the eating side of the food chain!

Come on folks didn`t anybody learn anythin` on your little trip to veganland?I learned a sacred greeting from them....Nemaste...means-"I bow to the light(or devine) in you".Now I might just ease on back over there and see what else I can learn from birdhugger, redlentils, and the gang.

The vegan site reads like a teenage girl chat page. I hope they are not physically or mentally stunted before they get their heads screwed back properly. As a teenage I was pretty much a vegan too, I restricted my self to an amber liguid concoted from water, hopps, malt and sugar.

In all fairness, vegetarians do have some potential usefullness. Every self-respecting "war" includes civilain rationing. Since we won't be wasting meat on the vegetarians, there will be more left to go around to the rest of us. Personally, I plan on becoming REAL friendly with all the enviromentally conscience vegans I can find. I want their milk, cheese, eggs and gas too.

Wonder if these people ever think about how much wildlife habitat has to be destroyed to rase there veges.

varmit, from what I understand it takes 5 to 10 times the amount of acreage to grow "organic" vegies than it does to grow them using modern methods.

varmit hunter, ya beat me to it! I've always wondered if such folks as Vegan's were true to their cause, would they eat at all? For the very veggies they eat are grown where animals once roamed.I've gotta go lay out some Venison Tenderloin for the grill.
