Doing it wrong?

Okay Rita said I must have not done it the right way. Makes you wonder huh?

I hurt my neck, the pain was just to the point of passing out but not quite. My vision got dark and my hearing shut way down, I managed to stay on my feet until she could grab my walker and help me to the nearest chair. I sat down hard and we hit the ice bags just as soon as she grabbed them from the fridge.

Now I bet you are wondering just what foolish thing I did this time. I will just tell you, you would never guess. I reached down to flush the toilet and popped something in my neck again.

Rita said I must be doing it all wrong. [:)] At times I just agree with her, no other explanation.
Just smile and say nothing, let them guess how much you know.

I can't say that I know exactly what you mean because my troubles are nothing compared to what you have to live with but, my wife says the same to me when I hurt my back or hips when doing something seemingly harmless.
Best to just agree with them and move on. [;)]

I have the perfect solution for your problem: Flush the toilet BEFORE you unseat it. Might work for you., However, for me, I get concorted trying to reach over my shoulder so I have to do a 90 degree turn on the seat to do it. The joys of getting old and stiff. Tom

Motion sensors work automatically as you get-up, so no need to turn and stoop.

I have wrenched my back twice doing a very simple task

reaching for a towel outside the shower

as far as I can figure, it has to do with trying not to slip, and doing an unnatural stance while leaning over

I now put my towel rolled up on the back of the toilet tank

The pain today is just as I expected. Hurts from the jay to the end f my fingers on the right arm. Sadly no matter how it is I do this it is way to common. I wish I could get at least the bone spurs removed to they would not jab in to me like this at times.

It will be okay in a few days, just will whine and cry until then. [:)]
