Felt good today kicking back and just doing nothing. Felt like a kid again. 12" of fresh snow was nice, but time to go back to work tomorrow. Anyone else take a snow day [?][:)][:)]

Wifey and daughter are both off from teaching today and tomorrow. More snow forecast for Friday so they may be off Friday as well. Wait they were off Monday for MLK day might end up being a one day work week.

I've got a "Snow Day" tomorrow, and so do my kids. Anyone else get these?

Um no. I'll be hanging off the side of a pole or house getting someone's power restored. Snowing like a beast here, supposed to get 8" tonight. [:(]

Funny thing here in Atlanta, they build in 3 or 4 snow days into the calendar and then add a few extra to the "Winter Break" . Our county has a full week off every six weeks (or so) not counting Christmas and Thanksgiving. So we start August 1, Fall break Labor Dayish, Winter Break usually falls around Robert E Lee's Birthday and Spring Break around April 1.

Winter break and the week after were ice freaking city here , so we burned all of of them

My kids got a whole week off two weeks ago...and looks like today and tomorrow, too. Maybe around September my daughter will graduate...

Here in NC they used them all up and then some. From what I hear from my Nephews they will not have a Spring Break this year.

I don't understand why they don't just extend the school year but it has something to do with tests.

Up to 10" now and still snowing hard. I got to make the call by nine tonight weather to give the guys off tomorrow. I already told the girls to stay home. They all have a laptop at home and I can transfer the phone to m office managers house.Going to be real cold tomorrow and windy, so I think I just might bring five guys in for service and let the installers stay home.

Yeah, our district has a couple of snow make-up days built into the calendar. The fist one is March 6th. Since we never had any snow here this year, we get the day off.
    So I'm on a 3-day weekend starting a few minutes ago. [8D]

Tomorrow will be an outstanding day for me.

I'll be out standing in whatever weather we happen to have.
