Idaho Senator steals truck/trailer gets DUI

First he plays a round of golf this summer, gets drunk and then decides to steal a truck and trailer and then crashes it. He is charged with Grand theft and DUI. He pays off the courts/restitution and they drop the grand theft charges. Two days ago the state has a closed door meeting to vote and decide if he should keep his job as senator. Answer: Yes, he keeps his job!! Fail a piss test at McDonalds or just about any other job and you're fired. This is what I call some serious cow cookies ladies and gentlemen. Our system is even more broke than I thought. Disgusting is all I can say.
Here is the link...not sure if it will still work. Google it if you want more info.

    They have in place,
    their own rules/laws.
    It doesn't matter really,
what rules they have and break
    becuase "We the people" keep
    electing them.

Shoot, boy got a driver so why does he need to try and keep his license? Not like he need it to cast a vote.

Would you get over it!! You'd want one tiny lil accident ruin such a great man such as Ted Kennedy. Our nation is indebted to Ted and the Kennedy Clan for all they've done, but you'd let the death of one girl stand in the way of all that....some people

We are just common folk we wouldn't understand.

Ya gotta love the green font!

The * in the article said he is sorry, what more do you want? It's not like the same laws apply to all of us.

The corruption starts at the top and rolls down hill. The piss ant politician see the fat cats doing it and realize they can get away with too.

I bet the voters in the district re-elect him next time as well. I say if the guy's a buffoon, and the other buffoon's won't get rid of him, make that a campaign issue for all involved and vote them all out.

I don't know what Idaho's laws say about what criminal convictions automatically bar someone from holding public office, but anywhere you go in the US it's a steep hill to climb if you're trying to remove someone from an elected position without a recall vote by citizens who put him there.

It can lead to situations such as we're seeing here, but valid reasons do exist for keeping this from being a simple matter.
