Did Poland ship arms to North Vietnam during the war?
Just wondering if any polish AK's were used.

I was busy in VN putting explosive rounds in their ammo dumps.....
If they tracked us with dogs, we used CS powder on the trail to make the dogs lose the scent...

Yep, we wore their clothes, stole their weapons & ammo and used it --the sound signature made them think we were friendlies...

If they tracked us with dogs, we used CS powder on the trail to make the dogs lose the scent...This sounds good in theory, but CS/CN are actually ineffective on dogs. This is acknowledged by chemical agent manufacturers and is addressed during gas training.
I've seen this firsthand. In riot control circumstances where areas were blanketed with the stuff there was no need to evacuate the K9's. They suffered no ill effects and remained completely good to go.
Would kayanne pepper off the shelf work?
Ya watched "Cool Hand Luke" too much!
Would kayanne pepper off the shelf work? The people who train and handle tracking dogs actually hope people waste time by trying such stuff.
There are two different types of tracking dogs. Most are trained to simply follow disturbed ground/crushed vegetation, etc. caused by their target. It's faster and easier to train a dog for this sort of work, but they'll have certain limitations.
Others are trained to follow a person's specific scent, which is an airborne particulate. This can actually drift somewhat and settles on everything along their trail, remaining viable for the dog to follow even days after their target has passed through an area.
There's only thing that will screw up a well trained air scenting dog to the point they can no longer pick up their target scent - and it's not CS or any sort of pepper.
It's one of their trade secrets. [;)]
