Just wanted to sayOW!!
Running has always been second nature for me, it came pretty naturally. When I joined the Army, smoking Lucy Strike NF, I still ran an 11:30-11:50 2 miler. I've run marathon's, "adventure" races, the longest being 55 miles.
I understand that when you start to run more frequently with the approaching spring, it's going to be a bit painful. However, being in Kosovo for the past 6+ months, I have neglected my running. I have been focusing in packing on the muscle in the gym. Well that was accomplished, last weigh in I put on 17# of lean mass.
I must say that there is a GREAT difference between your legs propelling a 170# body for miles and propelling a 190# body that same distance....OWWWW!
Some people just shouldn't be allowed to breed

I still run but have cut that down to twice per week. As I get older I found that running was hard on my knees and I wanted to keep them in tip-top shape. So far it's working great. My conditioning is staying at a high level and I accomplish this with little impact on the old joints. I do Cardio workouts (stairclimb, cross train, etc..) five times a week along with weight training.
It sounds as if you are deep into it. Keep it up and watch those knees.
Ahhh the good old days. Its hell to get older!

I used to run, but the cops kept catching me, so now I just hide.

I retired from the USMC at age 38 and the last pft I ran was 17.5 for 3 miles. I think there's nothing like the high one gets with the second wind. It used to make me feel better for the whole day.
